Homeowners across Lancashire are being offered the opportunity to see their property on television and earn money at the same time, by a new web-based company.
North West Locations is on the lookout for properties to add to its database, which film, TV and commercials production companies will access when it needs a location for filming or photo shoots.
Founder of North West Locations, Nick Jones, said: "The website will provide a comprehensive library of filming and photography locations across the North West, so whether you live in a mansion or an apartment, own a factory or a bookshop, we want to hear from you."
Having worked for a wide range of production companies including Granada TV, Yorkshire TV, BBC and Hat Trick Productions, Nick recognised the need for a database of properties in the North West.
"The North West is more popular than ever for filming and photography, in fact it's the most popular part of the country for filming outside Greater London," he added.
"I'm in regular contact with directors, designers, production managers, producers, photographers and researchers all searching for specific locations.
"So if you fancy seeing your home or business on shows like Vincent, Cracker or Cold Feet, please get in touch.
"What many people don't realise is that their property could be earning them money.
"In fact, property owners can earn hundreds of pounds a day, depending on the type of filming and time required.
"We're already finding demand for houses with large knocked through kitchen/ dining rooms or living room/dining rooms which give that extra space for cast, crew and equipment.
"However, our library also includes penthouse loft apartments and rural farmhouses."
